Our NATAN concept wins phase 2 SBIR grant
In 2017, we launched our new concept for keep your (offline) data safe: NATAN. NATAN stands for Network Assisted Track And Neutralize. Think of NATAN as a USB flashdrive that keeps your data safe from information theft, even if you lose the physical device - or if somebody steals it. NATAN allows you to
- Track the device. See where your device is, on a map. Did you simply put it in the wrong pocket, or is it currently at a location you've never been before?
- Block the device. Remotely lock all access to the device, from your personalized NATAN webportal
- Wipe device. Permanently remove all data from the device, regardless of where it is
- Get audit trail. Receive data of recent access to the device. Know what happened to it before you wiped it.
Lost data storage devices are, unfortunately, a very common occurrence. Not every lost flashdrive constitutes a real data breach. But how do you know? NATAN lets you figure out if there's a real threat of your data being stolen, and lets you take steps to minimize the damage accordingly.
We plan to have the first version of the NATAN device on the market in the second half of 2018. We will initially launch NATAN exclusively in the Netherlands, because of network coverage considerations - NATAN uses a commercial public IoT network. Please contact us if you would like to stay updated about the development of NATAN.
